Hey friends! We hope you and your loved ones had a great holiday season and are off to a great start of 2023 so far! After the busy and hectic holiday season, it’s important to let yourself relax and get rejuvenated for the new year. There’s a lot going on between the kids going back to school, sports, work, and life’s daily events in between, so don’t forget to take some time just for you. You deserve it!! 


While it is easier said than done to find time just for you, there are so many different ways (big and small) to treat yourself! 


If you can’t make it to the spa, bring the spa to you! Run a bubble bath, put on a face mask, light a candle or two, and turn on your favorite playlist or podcast. If a bath isn’t your go-to, treat yourself to a manicure or pedicure! We’ve compiled our favorite songs of the moment for you here! 

 

 

 A book is another great way to unwind, no matter the time of day! There’s something about putting on your favorite cozies (see ours linked below), pouring a cup of your favorite drink, warming up with your favorite blanket and escaping into the pages for a little while (The New York Times Best-Sellers of the Week)

 

 

If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, grab your favorite sweater (we can’t stop wearing the Mock Neck Fair Isle Sweater + it’s 30% off! and go ice skating or skiing! Both are classic winter activities and offer so much fun outside the normal day-to-day! Almost all rinks and ski resorts offer lessons for all levels if you’re new to it or need a refresher! 

 

 

Who doesn’t want to have a movie marathon while the weather is dreary?! Pick out a favorite film of yours that you haven’t seen in a while or try watching the new series everyone’s been raving about (The 9 Best Netflix Shows to Stream in 2023), and cozy up on the couch! Pop some popcorn, grab a drink and enjoy! Feel free to also invite a friend over if you’d like some quality time! 


Taking some time to focus on yourself, your breath and the present moment can be so beneficial to having a great day! Especially in this time and season, it’s so easy to get caught up in all the to-do’s, so we suggest taking 5 minutes, putting on the Calm App (our founder’s favorite!), and find a meditation that resonates with you, and how you feel. You could do some yoga while you listen, or find a comfortable, quiet place to just breathe. 


No matter what you choose to do, don’t forget that you are important and deserve a moment of self-care. While January is usually cold, wet, and sometimes dreary, you can make it fun, relaxing and rejuvenating for you! Self-care is the best way to make sure you can care for everyone else in your life, so don’t forget to take a time-out!
