Gibson Look Supports International Women's Day and #BalanceforBetter
Today we announce an exciting collection for IWD. We are delighted and honored to celebrate and share the stories of nine bold, creative and magnificent woman. As individuals, they are impressive, as a group, empowering. International Women's Day is a worldwide event celebrating the achievements of women and the power of women coming together to effect change. The theme this year is #BalanceforBetter which creates an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate all the many ways women contribute to broadening opportunity.I ended my last post with the idea that the fusion of fashion and technology is a catalyst for connection. I know for certain, the relationships that develop between Gibson, those we collaborate with and their audience are unique. This connection reminds me of an expectation as a buyer for Nordstrom. We were told to spend time on the sales floors, getting to know the customer, understanding their wants. With online shopping, this association has changed but the need hasn't, just the approach. Technological changes are numerous but most critical for online buying is how does one generate trust in their shopping habits? Reflecting back, that idea of a direct connection between customer and Buyer is exactly what our collaborations do today - they develop an intimacy within online retail which I have not experienced in a long time.
I love this process and I am delighted with our IWD collaboration. We look forward to connecting, hearing your needs and building up the community. The Gibson Look International Women's Day Collection will be launched on March 8th. During the weeks leading up to the launch, we will be sharing the stories of these impassioned women and the styles they designed for their audience. I hope you'll enjoy the experience and come to love and respect the ladies of The Gibson X IWD Collection as much as we do. So stay tuned.
XoXo,
Suzie Turner Founder, Gibson Look
