A Look Back at April & A Look Ahead to May
Ahhh… Spring is officially here in the air and the warmer weather is starting to finally feel like it's here to stay! We’ve had so many fun new arrivals hit the site this past month, with our newest collections honing in on this season’s occasions, whether you’re taking a weekend away or you’re RSVPing yes to an event!
Before we take a look ahead into May, let’s take a look back at April!
On April 5th, we launched a dress that was designed in collaboration with Lindsey of The Motherchic. This dress is perfect for all things Spring and Summer occasions! Graduations, Mother’s Day, Weddings, Showers, the list goes on! Made in a soft chiffon material, this peachy print is an instant mood-booster!
*Style Tip: Pair this dress with a fun gold metallic flat sandal!
April 10th we launched Agave Garden which was inspired by our love of desert tones, enhanced neutrals and elevated utility, made by brands we love; Sanctuary, Elan, En Saison and Moon River! Cargo’s aren’t going anywhere, and we’re having so much fun styling with them!
*Style Tip: The popular Reissue Cargo from Sanctuary is a best-seller, and we introduced a new color, Powdered Sugar, which is a great way to ease into the cargo movement if you haven’t already - style these like you would a white wide leg jean and you’re ready to go!
April 17th continued the conversation of Enhanced Neutrals, with a new color in our Cinched Sleeve Linen Notch Neck Blazer, and a restock of our popular Linen Wrap Dress, along with some soft knit work-to-weekend pieces!
*Style Tip: Pair the Funnel Neck Sleeveless Top with the Side Cinch Skirt for Work with a blazer on top, then wear it out for date night with a shoe change and lose the blazer!
Vacation is on all of our minds around here, so in came April 24th with our Weekend Away Collection! This collection was made up of greens, blues and whites. We’re “set” on matching sets and mixed media for the warm weather, and we love the versatility of the Butterfly Knit Top and the Tatum Drawstring Shorts, along with the coordinating Tatum Boat Neck Top! Stripes aren’t going anywhere (and personally, we hope they never do…). We’ll be wearing this set on the weekends, on the next plane ride, and into the office, pairing the top with our favorite denim!
*Style Tip: We love the look of pairing the Tatum Boat Neck Top with the Reissue Cargo’s from Sanctuary! It gives the perfect combo of femininity and a little hint of edge!
Not only did we have a launch on April 24th, but the GL team also had the pleasure of joining our friends, Daphine of @simplydaph, January of @januaryhartrizzo, Kate of @katerobinsonkreative, Roselyn of @roselynweaver, and Wanda of @wandalovessharing in Houston for a day of fun, photos and delicious food!
The day began with brunch at Little Hen - we recommend getting the Iced Chai or Lavendar Latte, and either their Avocado Toast or their Pancakes! You truly can’t go wrong in a place like Little Hen - everything was as adorable as it was delicious!
After brunch, we spent the next few hours shooting our new arrivals and getting all sorts of fun content! We shot around the River Oaks District and then made our way to the C Baldwin Hotel for light bites and more photos, before getting ready for dinner.

We closed out the evening with dinner at Steak 48, with conversations, connecting, lots of laughter and so much joy! We’ve been craving their Whipped Praline Sweet Potato and Corn Creme Brulee since we left… IYKYK!
